Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to individuals in their homes or care facilities, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. As a Care Assistant, you will play a vital part in implementing care plans and assisting clients with daily activities, fostering independence while delivering high-quality care.

Responsibilities

Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming. Support clients in daily living activities, including meal preparation and medication management. Implement individualised care plans tailored to each client's needs. Maintain accurate records of client progress and any changes in condition. Communicate effectively with clients, their families, and other healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care. Drive clients to appointments or social activities as required. Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients by following health and safety protocols. Engage clients in social activities to promote mental well-being and companionship.

Qualifications

Previous experience in home care or a care home setting is desirable but not essential. Strong communication skills in English are required to interact effectively with clients and colleagues. Basic IT skills for maintaining records and communication purposes. A valid driving licence is preferred for transporting clients when necessary. A compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others is essential. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating reliability and professionalism.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent, Zero hours contract

Pay: 12.30 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 20 per week
