Overview


We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Drainage Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, installing, maintaining, and repairing drainage systems across various projects. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work on diverse infrastructure projects, utilising a range of technical skills and hands-on expertise. A strong understanding of mechanical systems, plumbing, and construction techniques is essential, along with the ability to work safely and efficiently in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities



Design and plan drainage systems in accordance with project specifications and industry standards. Install new drainage infrastructure, including pipes, culverts, and related components. Conduct maintenance and repairs on existing drainage networks to prevent flooding and ensure proper flow. Operate hand tools, power tools, and other machinery necessary for installation and repair tasks. Utilise plumbing skills to assemble and modify drainage components as required. Perform heavy lifting of materials and equipment safely to facilitate installation processes. Use basic maths to calculate measurements, flow rates, and material requirements accurately. Apply mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot system issues and perform repairs efficiently. Collaborate with other construction or engineering teams to ensure project timelines are met. Maintain detailed records of work performed, materials used, and safety inspections.

Requirements



Proven experience in drainage engineering or related construction roles. Proficiency in drainage, plumbing, and assembly tasks. Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, heavy lifting techniques, and mechanical systems. Knowledge of commercial driving regulations; a valid driving licence is preferred. Ability to operate machinery safely and adhere to health & safety regulations at all times. Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in planning and execution of work. Basic maths skills for measurements, calculations, and data recording purposes. Physical fitness capable of heavy lifting and working in challenging environments. Valid certification or training in relevant technical disciplines is advantageous but not essential. Pay: 32,500.00-39,500.00 per year
