We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Drainage Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, installing, maintaining, and repairing drainage systems across various projects. Duties
Design and plan drainage systems in accordance with project specifications and safety standards.
Install new drainage infrastructure, including pipes, culverts, and related components.
Conduct maintenance and repairs on existing drainage networks to ensure optimal functionality.
utilise welding techniques where necessary to join metal components securely.
Operate hand tools, power tools, and specialised equipment safely and efficiently.
Perform plumbing tasks such as fitting, sealing, and troubleshooting drainage issues.
Carry out heavy lifting of materials and equipment in a safe manner to support installation activities.
Apply mechanical knowledge to diagnose system faults and implement effective solutions.
Use basic maths skills for measurements, calculations, and layout work during installation processes.
Engage in carpentry tasks related to drainage system supports or enclosures when required.
Drive commercial vehicles as needed for transporting materials or equipment to sites.
Assist with assembly of drainage components and related infrastructure on-site.
Qualifications
Proven experience or training in welding, plumbing, or mechanical trades is highly desirable.
Proficiency with hand tools and power tools used in construction or maintenance work.
Strong knowledge of plumbing systems, carpentry, and general construction practices.
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during installation or repair tasks.
Valid commercial driving licence is preferred for transportation duties.
Good understanding of basic maths for measurements and calculations relevant to drainage projects.
Physical fitness to work outdoors in various weather conditions and handle demanding tasks over extended periods.
