We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Drainage Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, installing, maintaining, and repairing drainage systems across various projects. Responsibilities
Design and plan drainage systems in accordance with project specifications and regulatory standards
Install, repair, and maintain drainage infrastructure including pipes, culverts, and manholes
Conduct site inspections to assess existing drainage conditions and identify potential issues
Operate hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and plumbing tools safely and effectively
Perform heavy lifting and manual labour as required during installation or maintenance tasks
Utilise mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot system faults and implement effective solutions
Collaborate with contractors, surveyors, and clients to ensure project requirements are met efficiently
Adhere to health and safety regulations at all times during site work
Maintain accurate documentation of work carried out and report on progress regularly
Skills
Proficiency in welding, plumbing, carpentry, and assembly techniques
Experience with hand tools, power tools, and heavy lifting equipment
Strong mechanical knowledge relevant to drainage systems and infrastructure
Basic mathematical skills for measurements, calculations, and technical drawings
Ability to operate commercial vehicles for site access when necessary
Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail
Good communication skills for liaising with team members and clients
Ability to work independently or as part of a team in diverse environments
