Leaves Building is launching a brand-new Drainage Division as part of our continued growth across the South. With over 100,000 invested in the latest drainage equipment and technology, we're building a best-in-class service from the ground up - and we're looking for a skilled and motivated Drainage Engineer to lead the charge.

This is a unique opportunity to become the first dedicated engineer in the department, shaping workflows, setting standards, and playing a key role in future team development.

The Role

As Drainage Engineer, you'll carry out high-quality drainage works using our newly acquired kit - including CCTV surveys, relining, reporting, and remedial repairs. In the early stages, you'll also assist with general groundwork jobs while the department's order book builds. You'll be fully supported by our operations team and play an active role in developing our internal drainage processes.

Key Responsibilities

Carry out CCTV drainage surveys, reporting, diagnostics, and repair Install and maintain lining systems using advanced equipment Input and manage data using reporting and job management software Support small-scale groundworks, excavations, and reinstatement works Maintain a strong on-site health & safety culture across all jobs Communicate clearly with customers, internal teams, and supervisors Contribute to developing departmental procedures, standards, and workflows Take ownership of the role and help mentor new team members as the department grows

Key Requirements

Proven experience in drainage works, including CCTV surveys, patch lining, and jetting Competent with survey/reporting software and job management systems Background in groundworks, excavations, or civils (advantageous) Confident, self-motivated, and eager to progress into a supervisory role Strong attention to detail and ability to diagnose issues on-site Excellent communication and customer service skills Full UK driving licence
