We are seeking a dedicated Drainage Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, installing, maintaining, and repairing drainage systems across various projects. Responsibilities
Design and plan drainage systems in accordance with project specifications and safety standards
Install, repair, and maintain drainage infrastructure using appropriate tools and techniques
Conduct inspections of existing drainage networks to identify faults or blockages
Utilise welding, plumbing, carpentry, and assembly skills to modify or construct drainage components
Operate power tools, hand tools, and heavy lifting equipment safely and effectively
Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and clients to ensure timely project delivery
Perform routine maintenance checks on drainage systems to prevent future issues
Document work activities accurately and report on progress or concerns
Skills
Proficient in welding, plumbing, carpentry, and assembly tasks relevant to drainage systems
Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, and heavy lifting equipment
Strong mechanical knowledge with an understanding of drainage infrastructure components
Basic math skills for measurements, calculations, and technical drawings interpretation
Experience with commercial driving is advantageous for transportation between sites
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently in various working conditions
Good organisational skills with attention to detail in documentation and reporting
Ability to work independently or as part of a team under tight deadlines
