We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Drainage Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for inspecting, maintaining, and repairing drainage systems across a variety of commercial and industrial sites. Duties
Conduct inspections of drainage systems to identify blockages, damages, or potential issues
Perform repairs and maintenance on pipes, culverts, and related infrastructure using appropriate tools and techniques
Install new drainage systems, including laying pipes and fitting components
Utilise welding skills to join or repair metal components as required
Use hand tools, power tools, and carpentry skills to assemble or modify drainage structures
Apply plumbing knowledge to troubleshoot and resolve system failures or leaks
Carry out heavy lifting tasks safely when handling large components or equipment
Operate commercial vehicles for transportation of materials or equipment to various sites
Maintain accurate records of work completed and materials used
Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations and industry standards
Requirements
Proven experience in drainage engineering or related field
Proficiency in welding, plumbing, carpentry, and assembly tasks
Competence with hand tools, power tools, and heavy lifting techniques
Mechanical knowledge relevant to drainage systems and infrastructure
Basic maths skills for measurements and calculations during installation or repairs
Experience with commercial driving is desirable but not essential
Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
Physical fitness capable of performing heavy lifting and manual tasks
Valid driving licence suitable for operating commercial vehicles
