At Pate's, our Drama Department is a dynamic and integral part of school life, inspiring students to



explore, perform, and grow.A passionate team, supported by specialist LAMDA instructors, our Drama



Department is a hub of energy and excellence.



Drama is a popular subject at our school, with excellent facilities, including a dedicated, spacious and



well-equipped drama studio, featuring LED lighting, moving heads, a new lighting desk, modular



staging and an extensive collection of costumes, props, and masks - all designed to bring



performances to life and support imaginative teaching.



Beyond the classroom, Drama thrives through a rich programme of extra-curricular activities. From



student-led Lunchtime clubs to school productions in our fully equipped Hall, students are encouraged



to take on roles both on stage and behind the scenes. Our student Tech Crew and mentoring



initiatives foster leadership and collaboration across year groups.



One of the highlights of the year is our House Drama competition - an event where students create



and perform their own 20-minute pieces, showcasing their creativity and teamwork.



Regular theatre visits further enrich our students' experience, exposing them to a wide range of



professional performances and styles.
