We are seeking a dynamic and passionate Performing Arts Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in performance, along with experience in teaching dancing and acting. This position involves teaching 2 hours per week and dedicating 1 hour to lesson planning and preparation or written feedback.
Responsibilities:
1. Acting Instruction: Introduce fundamental acting concepts such as confidence, improvisation, storytelling, and stage presence. Organize drama games and activities to enhance students creativity and confidence.
2. Lesson Planning: Develop comprehensive lesson plans that align with our unique Musical Theatre and Commercial (film, television, video games) curriculum goals and objectives. Incorporate a variety of materials and resources to accommodate different learning styles and abilities.
3. Assessment and Feedback: Monitor students' progress through regular assessments, rehearsals, and performances. Provide constructive feedback and encouragement to foster growth and improvement.
Qualifications:
- Relevant training and experience in performing arts instruction, specializing in singing.
- Experience teaching acting to children
- Strong knowledge of vocal techniques, dance fundamentals, and acting principles.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Patience, empathy, and enthusiasm for working with young children.
