Job Summary
Stagecoach Havant is looking for an experienced drama teacher to start in January 2026 at our Performing Arts schools for 6-16yrs. Classes are taught in mixed ability groups of up to 18 students and the children are split into age groups - 6-9 yrs, 9-12yrs and 12-15yrs.
Strong classroom management, high expectations and commitment to the students are a must, as is a good sense of fun, a positive outlook and can-do attitude.
Applicants should have experience teaching groups of children and ideally will also have experience directing musicals. Previous schemes of work have included physical theatre, puppetry, improvisation, devising and script work.
Classes run Fridays 5pm to 8pm and Saturdays 10am to 1pm during term time at Crookhorn College, Stakes Hill Road, PO7 5UD. There are three 12-week terms a year with opportunity for addition work in the school holidays.
Applicants will need two reference checks and an Enhanced DBS Check on the DBS Update Service (this can be applied for).
