About the Role
You will be responsible for delivering engaging, structured, and inspiring drama classes in line with the Stagecoach ethos. Our students are enthusiastic, committed, and used to working at a high level, so we are looking for a teacher who can confidently challenge them, maintain strong discipline, and nurture both technical skill and creativity.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and deliver high-quality drama lessons appropriate to the age and ability of students
Maintain a professional, focused, and positive classroom environment
Set clear expectations and provide strong direction to students
Develop performance skills including confidence, characterisation, voice, movement, and stagecraft
Prepare students for shows, performances, and presentations where required
Uphold Stagecoach's high standards of teaching, safeguarding, and professionalism
Essential Skills & Experience
Excellent drama teaching skills with strong subject knowledge
Experience teaching children and/or young people in a performing arts setting
Confident classroom management and the ability to lead focused, hardworking groups
High expectations of student behaviour, effort, and achievement
Strong communication skills and a professional, reliable approach
Passion for developing young performers to their full potential
Desirable
Previous experience teaching within Stagecoach or a similar performing arts school
Performing arts qualifications or relevant professional experience
Experience preparing students for performances or examinations
