Job Description
Macduff Shipyards Ltd are a successful company with a busy work program ahead for the next five years. The company is actively seeking an experienced Draughtsman to join our small drawing office team and help us with our design work on our new build fishing vessels and workboats, as well as other projects such as steel fabrications, CNC machined parts, large refit and repair projects on vessels. The drawing office is kept very busy with a large range of different projects, and the team are fully integrated within the company, working with all trades and spending time onboard vessels and out of site.
REQUIREMENTS
Competent with CAD software. Preferably AutoCAD and Inventor.
Competent with Microsoft office products (work, excel).
Experience with the design and construction of welded structures such as offshore fabrications.
A sound knowledge of mechanical and engineering systems.
Preferred experience in the marine / offshore industry, but all candidates will be considered.
Content to be based in Macduff.
Good team worker and get on well with others in a small group.
ROLE
Working in a small drawing office team, assisting with design work and technical drawings on our new build vessels as well as repair projects.
Assist machine shop with drawings/documentation.
Assist with various fabrication design and drawings for various industries the company works with, offshore oil and gas, renewables, defence, civil.
Work with customers and help oversee projects through to completion.
