Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Draughtsman to join our design team. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating accurate technical drawings, layouts, and 3D models of spray booth systems and components. You will work closely with engineers, project managers, and production teams to ensure designs meet functional, safety, and aesthetic requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Produce detailed 2D drawings and 3D models of spray booths, ducting, and associated equipment using CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or Inventor).
Translate engineering concepts, sketches, and specifications into accurate technical drawings.
Collaborate with engineers and project managers to refine designs and incorporate client requirements.
Ensure all drawings comply with company standards, industry regulations, and health & safety guidelines.
Maintain and update drawing documentation and revision records.
Assist in the preparation of material lists, fabrication details, and assembly instructions.
Provide technical support to production and installation teams as required.
Continuously review and improve design processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Draughtsman in mechanical, industrial, or fabrication design, preferably with spray booth or HVAC experience.
Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Inventor, or similar).
Strong understanding of mechanical systems, fabrication processes, and assembly principles.
Excellent attention to detail and technical accuracy.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to work to deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Knowledge of health & safety regulations related to industrial ventilation and spray booth systems is a plus.
Education & Qualifications:
Diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering, Drafting, or a related field.
Relevant certifications in CAD or design are desirable.
