Job Overview

We are seeking a reliable and experienced HGV 7.5 Tonne Van Dray Driver to join our delivery team. In this role, you will be responsible for the safe and timely delivery of goods, including canned and bottled beverages plus casks and kegs of beer to various customers across the north UK. The position involves manual handling and dray work, delivering into pubs, bars, restaurants, and hospitality venues.

Key Responsibilities

Drive and operate a 7.5 Tonne vehicle in a safe and compliant manner Carry out deliveries of beverages, including cask and keg products, often involving heavy lifting and use of dray equipment Ensure timely and accurate deliveries to customers Load and unload goods safely, ensuring vehicle is loaded securely Complete delivery app accurately and obtain customer signatures Conduct daily vehicle checks and report defects Comply with all road transport and driving legislation, as well as company policies Provide excellent customer service at all delivery points Maintain a clean and tidy vehicle and work area Support warehouse operations if required

Requirements

Valid Category C1 (7.5 Tonne) driving licence Valid Driver CPC qualification Valid Digital Tachograph Card Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling and heavy lifting Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety Good communication and customer service skills Reliable, punctual, and professional Previous experience in dray work or multi-drop deliveries preferred
