Overview

We are seeking a reliable and experienced Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safe and efficient transportation of goods, ensuring timely deliveries and maintaining excellent communication with clients and team members. This role offers an opportunity for individuals with a strong background in commercial driving, delivery experience, and mechanical knowledge to contribute to our operations.

Duties

Operate various types of vehicles, including flatbed lorries, in compliance with road safety regulations and company policies Deliver goods to multiple locations efficiently and punctually Conduct routine vehicle inspections and basic maintenance checks to ensure optimal performance Load and unload cargo, ensuring items are secured properly during transit Maintain accurate delivery documentation and communicate effectively with dispatch and clients Assist in warehouse activities when required, including inventory management and stock organisation Follow all health and safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment at all times

Qualifications

Proven experience in commercial driving or as a delivery driver, preferably with flatbed or warehouse experience Valid driver's licence suitable for the vehicle type (e.g., driver) Mechanical knowledge to perform basic vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting Strong communication skills for liaising with clients, team members, and dispatch staff Experience with driving flatbed vehicles is highly desirable Knowledge of road safety regulations and traffic laws within the UK Ability to organise routes efficiently and manage time effectively
