Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Driver and Counter Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing excellent customer service while assisting with various tasks related to our operations including delivering and retrieving hire equipment. This position requires effective communication skills, a willingness to learn, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Hours of Work

Monday to Friday - 7.30am to 4.30pm (1 hour unpaid break)

Duties

Greet customers warmly and assist them with their inquiries and orders. Process transactions accurately and efficiently at the counter. Maintain an organised workspace, ensuring that all products are displayed neatly. Operate delivery vehicles as needed, including our 3.5t Iveco flatbed ensuring safe transport of goods. Communicate effectively with team members and customers to ensure smooth operations. Perform basic mechanical tasks as required, utilising mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot equipment issues.

Qualifications

Previous experience in a customer service role is preferred but not essential. A valid manual driving licence is required Experience with commercial driving or delivery driving is advantageous. Basic mechanical knowledge is desirable for troubleshooting equipment issues but full training will be given Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team environment. Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail.
