Job Overview

We are looking for a reliable and knowledgeable individual to join our small car trading business. The ideal candidate will be responsible for picking up vehicles, assessing potential purchases, and preparing them for resale.

Duties

Drive to and from locations to collect and deliver vehicles safely and on time Inspect and assess used cars for potential purchase (bodywork, mechanical condition, service history) Negotiate fair prices with sellers and complete basic purchase paperwork Identify and report any faults or repairs needed on purchased vehicles prep vehicles for resale including basic valeting Take clear, market-ready photos of vehicles for online listings Record key vehicle details accurately for inventory tracking Check and top up fluids, tyre pressure, and carry out basic maintenance tasks Liaise with traders, auction houses, and private sellers professionally Keep accurate records of purchases, expenses, and mileage Ensure all collected cars roadworthy for transport

Requirements

Full UK driving licence (manual) Strong knowledge of car makes, models, and common issues Ability to spot mechanical faults and cosmetic issues Confident communicator and negotiator Reliable and self-motivated with a keen eye for detail Experience in the motor trade or car sales (preferred but not essential) Basic mechanical or valeting experience is a bonus
