Job Overview

We are seeking a reliable and professional Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for their own (company provided van) collecting tyres from customers and delivering them back to facility in Bruntingthorpe, ensuring timely collections across various locations and back to the yard for drop off. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a passion for driving, seeking a paid position that values safety, punctuality, and customer service.

Duties

Operate commercial vehicle in accordance with road safety regulations and company policies. Collect goods from clients within designated schedules, maintaining punctuality. Conduct routine vehicle inspections to ensure mechanical soundness and report any issues promptly to operations manager. Maintain accurate delivery documentation and communicate effectively with management regarding schedules or delays. Follow all health and safety procedures to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and colleagues. Provide excellent customer service during collections, representing the company positively at all times.

Skills

Proven experience in commercial driving, preferably as a delivery driver or warehouse driver. Physically fit and able to handle heavy loads (loading / Unloading tyres) Ability to work alone and for extended periods and use own initiative to complete collections efficiently Strong driving skills with a valid UK driver's licence. basic mechanical knowledge to perform basic vehicle maintenance checks. Excellent communication skills to liaise effectively with customers and team members. Organised with the capacity to manage time effectively under tight schedules. Good driving record with no major violations or accidents Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and best practices for driving. Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines. Good communication skills and a customer-oriented attitude. Ability to read and follow GPS and other navigational systems.

Pay: 13.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 - 50 per week
