Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Driver / Yard Operative to join our team at Gas Direct Cymru Cyf. In this role, you will be responsible for transporting gas cylinders to our customers efficiently and safely. You will also be responsible for the upkeep and organisation of the depot. Your contribution will be vital in maintaining our reputation for first-class service.

Key Responsibilities

Transport gas cylinders to various customer locations in a timely manner.

Ensure safe loading and unloading of products at each delivery site.

Conduct routine vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations.

Maintain accurate records of deliveries and pickups.

Adhere to all traffic laws and Company policies while on the road.

Maintain the cleanliness and organisation of the yard area, ensuring all materials are stored correctly.

Assist with loading and unloading deliveries, ensuring that items are handled safely to prevent damage.

Communicate effectively with team members to coordinate tasks and ensure smooth operations.

Perform routine maintenance checks on equipment and vehicles, reporting any mechanical issues as necessary.

Support warehouse operations by assisting with inventory management and stock rotation.

Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment

Requirements

Class C1 or Class 2 Driving Licence.

Proven experience in route driving and commercial vehicle operation.

Strong understanding of safety regulations related to transporting hazardous materials.

Ability to load and unload cargo safely and efficiently.

Good communication skills for interacting with customers and team members.

ADR and CPC advantageous

Salary: 14.80 Per Hour + Annual Bonus and Overtime

Full Time - Permanent - 42.5 Hours per week

Monday to Friday - 8:00 - 5:00

Full on the job training will be given
