Internal Delivery Driver (Long Wheel Base Van)

Location: Caerphilly
Hours: Early morning starts (typically from 3:00am onwards)

Marathon Warehouse Distribution Ltd is part of the UK's leading independent automotive parts distribution network, supplying major brands to thousands of trade customers nationwide.

We are seeking a reliable, safety-focused Internal Delivery Driver to support the smooth running of our daily logistics operation. This role involves collecting stock each morning from our National Hub and returning it to your local depot, with occasional deliveries to customers or nearby depots as required.

Key Duties:

Safely and efficiently operate a long wheel base van between your local depot and Marathon's National Hub. Carry out daily collections of stock, ensuring all goods are securely loaded and transported. Manually load and unload heavy automotive parts and products at both the hub and depot. Assist with unloading and distributing stock within the depot upon return. Complete occasional customer deliveries or inter-depot transfers when required. Maintain accurate records of all collections, deliveries, and related documentation. Communicate effectively with hub and depot teams to ensure smooth coordination and timely stock movement. Adhere to all traffic laws, road safety standards, and company operating procedures.
Experience & Skills:

Minimum of two years' driving experience (commercial or long wheel base van preferred). Must be aged 21 or over (for insurance purposes). Physically fit and capable of manual handling and lifting heavy goods. Previous experience in logistics, delivery driving, or warehouse operations is desirable. Good knowledge of local and regional routes is advantageous. Strong communication, organisation, and time management skills. Dependable, punctual, and safety-conscious.
Requirements:

Full, valid UK driving licence (no more than 6 penalty points). Ability to work early mornings (typically from 3:00am). Professional, customer-focused attitude with excellent attention to detail.
