Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Driver to join our team delivering linen. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently, ensuring timely deliveries while adhering to all traffic regulations. This role requires a strong commitment to safety and excellent communication skills, as you will be interacting with clients and warehouse staff regularly.

Responsibilities

Ensure all deliveries are made on time and in good condition. Conduct pre-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in safe working order. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of mileage and fuel consumption. Communicate effectively with warehouse personnel regarding loading and unloading procedures. Assist with loading and unloading goods as necessary, ensuring proper handling techniques are used. Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including safety protocols. Provide excellent customer service during interactions with clients.

Skills

Previous experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role is preferred. Familiarity with warehouse operations is advantageous. Strong mechanical knowledge to identify basic vehicle issues. Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with team members and clients. Experience with commercial driving regulations and practices is essential. Capability to drive various types of vehicles, including flatbed lorries, safely and efficiently. A valid driving licence appropriate for the vehicle type is required.
