We are seeking a professional and reliable Truck Driver to join our logistics team. The successful candidate will be responsible for safely transporting goods across various routes, ensuring timely deliveries, and maintaining the highest standards of safety and vehicle care. Experience with flatbed and commercial driving is highly desirable, along with a strong commitment to customer service and adherence to road regulations. Responsibilities

Safely operate flatbed lorries and other commercial vehicles to deliver goods to specified locations. Plan routes efficiently to meet delivery schedules and optimise fuel consumption. Conduct pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections, reporting any faults or issues promptly. Secure cargo properly on flatbeds to prevent damage during transit. Maintain accurate delivery documentation and obtain necessary signatures upon delivery. Adhere strictly to all road safety laws, company policies, and health and safety regulations. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients regarding delivery times or any unforeseen delays. Assist with loading and unloading when required, ensuring proper handling of goods.

Requirements

Valid UK driving licence with a clean driving record. Proven experience in commercial driving, particularly with flatbed vehicles or similar lorries. Delivery driver experience is preferred, demonstrating reliability and punctuality. Knowledge of road safety regulations and best practices for secure cargo transportation. Ability to operate flatbeds safely and efficiently under various weather conditions. Good organisational skills with the ability to plan routes effectively. Strong communication skills for liaising with clients and team members. Flexibility to work various shifts as required, including early mornings or late evenings if necessary.
