Driver Jobs in Plymouth | Key Requirements:

Applicants

must

meet the following criteria:

Hold a full, clean driving licence. Have experience driving large vans or 3.5t Luton Vans. Be skilled in loading and packing removals vans. Prior experience in the removals industry is highly desirable. Be easily reachable and reliable (able to meet commitments). Maintain good physical fitness and strength. Possess strong organisational skills. Present themselves in a smart, professional manner. Work effectively as part of a team. Demonstrate excellent communication skills. Exhibit a polite and respectful attitude. Have a good command of English. Be detail-oriented and customer-focused. Be capable of problem-solving and staying calm under pressure. Show responsibility and professionalism with a positive attitude.

Non-Essential Requirements:

Previous experience as a Team Leader or Manager in removals. Background in customer service for removal companies. Familiarity with the removals industry within Plymouth. Experience providing removal quotations to customers. Knowledge of engineering or mechanical skills, particularly for dismantling furniture.
Removal work is physically demanding, so high levels of fitness, strength, and stamina are essential.

The ideal candidate will have a professional, polite attitude and thrive in a team environment. Strong customer service skills and the ability to communicate effectively are critical, as the role often involves working in clients' homes or commercial spaces.

As our reputation is crucial, candidates must always be well-presented and must not have any dependencies on drugs or alcohol. On-the-job training will be provided, so a willingness to learn and ask questions is essential.

Plymouth Removals Driver Salary:

Starting at 13 - 16 per hour on a contract basis, depending on experience. Permanent positions may include additional benefits such as an annual bonus, pension scheme, and holiday entitlement.
