Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently while ensuring exceptional service. This role requires a strong understanding of vehicle operation and maintenance, as well as effective communication skills to liaise with clients and team members.

Responsibilities

Deliver materials, organise yard and act labourer when required

Operate various types of vehicles, including vans and flatbed lorries, to deliver goods to designated locations. Conduct pre-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in safe working condition. Load and unload cargo, ensuring that it is secured properly for transport. Maintain accurate delivery records and logs, including mileage and fuel usage. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays. Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while driving. Provide excellent customer service during interactions with clients upon delivery. Assist in warehouse operations as needed, including inventory management and organisation of goods.

Skills

Strong mechanical knowledge related to vehicle operation and maintenance. Proven experience in commercial driving or as a delivery driver is preferred. Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with team members and clients. Experience driving vans or flatbed vehicles is an advantage. Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines. A valid driving licence appropriate for the vehicle type being operated.
