Daniel James Group is seeking a disciplined and versatile Driver / General Labourer to support our project delivery teams. This role is split between professional driving duties and providing essential site labor. The successful candidate will ensure the efficient transit of materials across our project portfolio while maintaining high standards of site cleanliness and operational support.
Key Responsibilities
Logistics & Transit:
Responsible for the safe transport and delivery of materials, tools, and plant to various sites.
Vehicle Compliance:
Execute daily vehicle safety checks (pre- and post-trip), maintain accurate mileage and delivery logs, and ensure company vehicles are kept in a clean, professional condition.
Site Operations:
Assist site management with general labouring tasks, including the manual handling of materials and supporting various trades as required.
Project Handover Support:
Maintain site standards by performing thorough cleaning and clearing of fit out areas to ensure projects are ready for client inspection.
Liaison:
Provide clear, professional communication between the office, warehouse, and site based teams to manage delivery schedules and logistics.
Requirements
Experience:
A minimum of 1 year of experience within the construction industry is required.
Licensing:
Must hold a valid, clean UK Driving Licence.
Standards:
Strong knowledge of road safety laws and on-site Health & Safety protocols.
Aptitude:
A proactive approach to site-based work and the ability to work effectively as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
Reliability:
High level of punctuality and time management skills.
