Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Drivers Helper to assist our delivery team in ensuring timely and efficient service. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the driver during deliveries, maintaining safety standards, and ensuring customer satisfaction. This position requires a proactive attitude and the ability to work well in a team environment.

Duties

Assist the driver with loading and unloading goods from the vehicle. Ensure that all items are secured properly for transport, particularly on flatbed vehicles. Help navigate routes and communicate effectively with the driver regarding delivery schedules. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the vehicle and workspace. Provide excellent customer service during deliveries, representing the company positively at all times. Conduct basic inspections of the vehicle before and after deliveries to ensure it is in good working condition.

Skills

Previous experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role is advantageous. Familiarity with commercial driving regulations and safety protocols. Mechanical knowledge to assist with basic vehicle maintenance is preferred. Strong communication skills to effectively coordinate with drivers and customers. Experience in warehouse operations can be beneficial for understanding logistics. Ability to work as part of a team while also being self-motivated when required. Experience with flatbed vehicles is a plus, enhancing versatility in handling different types of deliveries.
