Overview

We are seeking a reliable and dedicated Driver to join our team.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to safety and customer service, ensuring timely and efficient delivery of goods.

This role requires a person 25+ as the vehicles are on a fleet insurance, excellent communication skills and the ability to Drive a van and be able to lift heavy goods (25kg).

As a Driver, you will play a crucial role in our logistics operations, contributing to the smooth running of our warehouse activities.

The days will be Sunday, Wednesday and Thursday and Occasional Mondays if necessary.

Duties

Safely operate delivery vehicles to transport goods to designated locations. Communicate effectively with warehouse staff and customers regarding delivery schedules and requirements. Conduct pre-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure they are in good working condition. Load and unload goods from the vehicle, ensuring proper handling and securing of items. Maintain accurate records of deliveries. Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving. Assist with warehouse duties as needed, including inventory management and organisation of stock. Demonstrate mechanical knowledge by performing basic maintenance on vehicles when necessary. Dealing with cash, when delivering or purchasing goods. Sunday work is essential

Qualifications

Previous experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role is preferred. Valid driving licence with a clean driving record; commercial driving experience is an advantage. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Mechanical knowledge for basic vehicle maintenance tasks is desirable. Experience driving a van A commitment to safety and attention to detail.
