Driver- Linburn Centre
12,480 pro rata salary
This is an opportunity for the successful candidate to be part of a committed team offering a unique service to veterans with sight loss. If you have driving experience and enjoy conversation and engaging with others, then we would like to hear from you.
A typical day as a driver at the Linburn Centre, involves completing daily vehicle checks before setting off on your scheduled journey. You will be the first person from the service to greet the veterans and as such, have a vital role in being a link person for family members and the Centre team.
Following the safe transporting of veterans to the Centre you will have completed the first shift of your day, returning in the afternoon to support the veterans home.
The role is a split shift and would typically be 08.30-10.30 and then 14.30- 16.30.

We will support your development by providing specific sight loss awareness training, driving focused training including MiDAS

Summary of requirements of the role
You are eligible to drive a minibus (hold a D1 Licence)
Previous experience of driving as part of your role
You have demonstrable knowledge of relevant Health and Safety regulations
You have a clear understanding of the Highway Code
Availability to work a split shift pattern
Flexibility - when required
An understanding that the position is split shifts. Between 8.30-10.30 and then 14.30-16.30.
