Job Description

Focus Canning is in search of an experienced driver to deliver and collect its hire goods to locations mainly within London and the Home Counties. We wish to introduce a positive and vibrant personality to complement our existing team.

Duties:

- Safely transport goods from the warehouse to designated locations within the United Kingdom
- Load and unload goods, ensuring proper handling and securing of items
- Follow delivery schedules and routes provided by the Bookings team
- Inspect vehicles for mechanical issues and perform basic maintenance tasks, such as checking tire pressure, oil levels, and fuel levels
- Communicate with customers to coordinate deliveries and collections of goods
- Complete necessary paperwork, such as delivery logs, mileage records, and customer delivery notes

Experience:

- Previous experience as a driver essential. Industry experience is preferred
- Familiarity with operating different types of vehicles including vans
- Basic mechanical knowledge to perform vehicle inspections and basic maintenance.
- Excellent communication skills to interact with customers and team members effectively

Please note that a valid driver's license and a clean driving record are required for this position.
