Job Overview

We are seeking reliable and professional Drivers to join our team. Working morning and/or afternoon shifts, you will be responsible for safely transporting adults with learning disabilities within Wandsworth and surrounding boroughs.

Responsibilities

Operate company vehicles, including minibuses, in accordance with road safety regulations and company policies Collect our service users from their homes and transport them to the day centre efficiently and punctually and then make return trips. A Passenger Assistant will be on board. Assist in helping service users on and off transport as required. Conduct pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety and compliance Adhere to all traffic laws and company procedures during daily operations Provide excellent customer service by representing the company professionally at all times.

Skills

Proven experience in driving a minibus (MIDAS training preferred) Strong driving skills with a clean driving record; valid clean driver's licence essential (with D1 category) Mechanical knowledge to perform basic vehicle maintenance checks and troubleshoot minor issues Experience working in a role that demonstrates reliability and punctuality Excellent communication skills for liaising with service users, their parents/carers and team members effectively Ability to handle physical tasks associated with helping service users on and off transport (some of whom are wheelchair users) and securing them on board safely

Job Types: Part-time, Zero hours contract

Pay: 14.29 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 20 per week
