Job Overview

We are seeking a reliable and experienced Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering goods efficiently and safely across designated routes. This role requires a professional approach, excellent communication skills, and the ability to handle various types of vehicles, including flatbed lorries. The Driver will play a vital part in ensuring timely deliveries and maintaining high standards of customer service.

Responsibilities

Safely operate commercial vehicles, including flatbed lorries, to deliver goods to clients and warehouses. Plan and follow efficient delivery routes, adhering to schedules and traffic regulations. Conduct pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety and compliance. Load and unload goods with care, ensuring items are secured properly during transit. Communicate effectively with dispatch teams and clients regarding delivery times and any unforeseen delays. Maintain accurate delivery documentation and logs. Assist with warehouse duties when necessary, including inventory checks and stock organisation. Adhere to all health and safety regulations at all times during deliveries and warehouse activities.

Requirements

Proven experience in commercial driving, particularly as a delivery driver or warehouse driver. Valid driving licence suitable for the vehicle type, with a clean driving record. Mechanical knowledge to perform basic vehicle maintenance checks. Experience driving flatbed lorries is highly desirable. Strong communication skills for liaising with clients and team members effectively. Knowledge of warehouse operations is advantageous. Ability to organise deliveries efficiently while maintaining safety standards. Flexibility to work various shifts as required, with an emphasis on punctuality and reliability.
