Duties

Operate commercial vehicles, including flatbed lorries, in accordance with all road safety regulations and company policies. Plan and follow efficient routes to ensure timely delivery of goods. Load and unload cargo safely, utilising appropriate mechanical knowledge and equipment. Conduct daily vehicle inspections, report any mechanical issues, and perform basic maintenance checks. Communicate effectively with dispatchers, clients, and team members to coordinate deliveries and resolve any logistical issues. Maintain accurate delivery documentation and logs in compliance with legal requirements. Adhere to health and safety protocols at all times during operations.

Skills

Proven experience in commercial driving, particularly as a delivery driver or similar role. Strong driving skills with a valid driver's licence. Mechanical knowledge to perform routine vehicle inspections and minor repairs. Experience operating flatbed vehicles or similar large transport equipment. Warehouse experience is advantageous for loading/unloading procedures. Excellent communication skills to liaise effectively with team members and clients. Ability to organise deliveries efficiently and adapt to changing schedules. This position is ideal for motivated individuals who take pride in their driving skills and attention to safety standards.
