SP Electricity North West manages and invests in the power network that supplies electricity to the 2.4m homes and businesses across the North West. Our 2,400 colleagues manage the 13,000km of overhead lines, 44,000km of underground cables and thousands of electricity substations to keep power flowing and supporting green growth. Our Role




We're looking for a proactive and safety-conscious

Driver

to support our operational teams across the South patch. This is a key role that helps ensure our jointing teams can restore supply to customers quickly and safely. If you enjoy working outdoors, being hands-on, and making a real difference, we'd love to hear from you.

What You'll Be Doing



Safely deliver diggers, barriers, signs, and materials to site. Set up streetworks equipment to create safe working environments. Carry out daily vehicle, digger, and trailer checks using our mobile app. Keep the depot clean, organised, and stocked with essential materials. Support colleagues with deliveries, forklift operations, and general yard duties. Work closely with the depot manager to maintain a safe and efficient workspace. If qualified, assist our engineering team with fault response using specialist vehicles.

The successful candidate must, at the start of employment have permission to work in the UK without sponsorship.



What we're looking for

Full UK driving license (essential) Towing license and experience towing (essential) Street works ticket (desirable) Past experience working in the electricity industry/ground works (desirable) Forklift license (desirable) Excavator ticket (desirable) O License/C1 license (desirable) To undertake Standby Duties, as required by the Business
