Working Hours:

Part time (5 hours per week, Monday to Friday-term time only, 39 weeks per year, includes Teacher Training Days). Usual working hours will be 2.40pm until 3.40pm

Avon Valley Academy is looking to appoint a confident and reliable

Driver

to cover afternoon minibus transport for its students. This is a fantastic, part-time, opportunity to join a dedicated team of staff that encourages all students to have high self-worth and love coming to school.

Avon Valley Academy is a thriving, co-educational school, educating young people between the ages of 11 and 16. Located in Durrington, Wiltshire, our school has a strong reputation for being at the heart of the community and has built strong relationships with the two local army bases at Larkhill and Bulford. The successful candidate will have a full, clean driving license, be organised and consistent, and have a solid understanding of Health and Safety requirements. Previous experience in a similar driving role is desirable.

We are looking for someone who:

Holds a full, clean driving licence and is prepared to drive a minibus; Has strong interpersonal and communications skills and can liaise effectively with school staff and pupils; Has a can-do attitude with excellent practical and organisational skills; Can prioritise and schedule effectively and efficiently; Is self-motivated, dedicated and consistent; Is a strong team player who can use their own initiative; Is aware of health and safety requirements; Has previous experience in a similar role (desirable).
