NSA UK LTD. are seeking to recruit car drivers to assist in the movement of vehicles on and off various vessels, and in and around the car terminal at the Port of Tyne.

A full UK driving licence is required and you should be comfortable driving both manual and automatic vehicles.

You will need to have a minimum of twelve months driving experience in order to comply with our insurance policy.

Full training will be given and PPE provided.

The operation covers 24 hours a day 7 days a week and all operatives work in a safety critical environment. Hours vary due to the changing hours and schedules of the vessels and shifts are booked on a day-to-day basis. We have a mixture of weekday shifts, nightshifts and also weekend work is available.

Please be aware that the role is of an ad hoc nature and we will only be able to offer shifts when the shipping schedule allows, we cannot guarantee you a fixed number of hours. Shifts can be antisocial and could be booked at late notice, though we endeavour to give at least 24 hours notice. NSA UK LTD. work closely with various shipping lines and the role must react to their requirements.

Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team are essential.

Successful candidates will be required to attend a Health and Safety Induction and a car driving assessment. You will be subject to identification checks, referencing and DVLA licence checks.
