The Role
This role will be predominantly as a Driver but will also have responsibilities as a Warehouse Operative. You will be responsible for driving and performing various warehouse tasks to support our operations. This role requires you to be flexible and adaptable individual who can work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Safe Transportation
Safely operate company vehicles in compliance with traffic laws and regulations.
Exercise caution and defensive driving techniques to prevent accidents and ensure the safety of yourself and others on the road.
Drive company vehicles to transport goods and materials
Timely Deliveries:
Adhere to delivery schedules and timelines to ensure prompt delivery of goods to customers.
Efficient route planning and navigation are essential to minimise delays.
Product Handling:
Handle goods with care to prevent damage during loading, transport, and unloading.
Ensure that products are properly secured and organised within the delivery vehicle to maintain their integrity.
Customer Service and Interaction:
Provide excellent customer service during deliveries by being courteous, professional, and helpful.
Address any customer inquiries or concerns in a timely and respectful manner.
Documentation:
Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including delivery logs/POD's, obtaining all signed receipts, and any required paperwork.
Ensure that all necessary documentation is completed correctly and submitted/scanned correctly and promptly.
Vehicle Maintenance:
Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks to ensure that delivery vehicles are in good working condition.
Report any mechanical issues or maintenance needs to the appropriate personnel.
Compliance:
Comply with company policies and procedures, as well as local regulations governing commercial transportation.
Adhering to vehicle weight limits, hours of service regulations, and vehicle maintenance requirements.
Any other responsibilities as required.

Based at our Sunderland branch, daily driving to customers & suppliers

30 hours - Monday to Friday - 8am start
