PART-TIME DRIVER - AS AND WHEN REQUIRED

Overview

We are looking for a reliable and skilled Driver to join our team on a part-time, on-call basis. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of vehicle operation, safety regulations, and delivery procedures. Experience with warehouse operations and basic mechanical knowledge is a plus. A

TACCO license

is required for this role.

Responsibilities

Operate various vehicles, including vans and flatbed lorries, to transport goods safely and efficiently. Ensure timely delivery of products to designated locations while following scheduled routes. Communicate effectively with warehouse staff and customers regarding delivery schedules or potential issues. Conduct pre-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety and compliance. Maintain accurate delivery records, including mileage and fuel logs. Assist with loading and unloading goods at the warehouse and delivery sites. Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations.

Skills & Experience

Proven experience as a van or delivery driver, with knowledge of commercial driving practices.

TACCO license is mandatory.

Strong communication skills for effective interaction with team members and clients. Familiarity with warehouse operations and logistics processes is advantageous. Basic mechanical knowledge for minor vehicle maintenance. Ability to safely operate flatbed lorries when required. Excellent organisational skills to manage delivery schedules and paperwork efficiently.
