Driver/Demonstrator and Maintenance Support Engineer

Hours:

9:00am to 5.00 pm 5 days per week over 6 on a rota basis

Permanent, Full-time

Salary

: 24,100 per annum plus company bonus

Stockton, Darlington and the surrounding area

An exciting dual position role has arisen within our Stockton and Darlington stores, supporting the Deliveries and Demonstrations in the area for both stores for typically 3-4 days a week. The role is unlike any typical delivery driver's role, as this role will require you to carry out demonstrations of power chairs, mobility scooters and other mobility equipment ordered by customers in their homes or nursing/care homes; you will also get involved in installations of the equipment and products.

During the other 1-2 days, you will be supporting our well established engineer in our Stockton workshop. You will complete repairs and servicing on a range of equipment (mobility scooters, wheelchairs, powerchairs etc). You will also have the opportunity to repair and service items in our customer's homes too, where you will get to interact with our customers directly, taking great satisfaction in your role by helping our customers gain independence again.

Each day will be varied and interesting, with covering two key aspects of our business. Full training will be provided in-house on all our products and practices.

Duties will include, but not limited to:

Supporting the Stores with all Deliveries and Demonstrations Promoting a high level of customer service in a polite and professional way The transfer of stock between stores Completing required paperwork on a smartphone for customers, stores and Head office Taking final balance payments from customers, via Cash, Cheque or Card Checking, repairing and servicing products in the workshop or onsite Completing all relevant paperwork electronically, using our mobile and PC apps Maintaining all tools, spares and equipment within a safe working condition Keeping the work area in a clean and tidy condition

Skills and Experience:

Someone with a mature and responsible outlook on life who enjoys engaging with people of all ages Energetic and flexible in their approach to work, as this is a varied role A confident communicator with an enthusiastic and positive manner Have excellent customer service, organisational and problem-solving skills Confident in using technology (Smartphone) to complete the required customer forms Comfortable handling cash, cheques and using a card machine to take payments

Driving licence:

A driving licence is essential for this role to cover for holidays or sickness.
