20 hours per week, 08:30-10:30 AND 14:30-16:30, Monday to Friday
Role Purpose:
To drive adults with a learning and physical disability to and from a variety of establishments and provide physical, practical, and emotional support for passengers being transported.
Responsibilities:

To be available to attend team meetings, one to one's, and relevant training when requested to do so.
Safeguarding - be willing to raise any concerns with regard to client abuse, mistreatment, and the management of risk in line with the Safeguarding policies of Pure Innovations and our partner agencies.
Driving people from and returning them to their homes on Pure Innovations minibuses.
Be a competent, considerate driver with the necessary skills to drive minibuses and operate tail-lifts, etc. (with training if required).
Conduct regular routine vehicle safety checks.
Maintain a high standard of cleanliness of vehicles.
Have excellent Customer Care, treating people with courtesy and respect.
Assist as needed on collection and upon arrival at their destination.
Deal with client queries either by direct personal action or by referring on appropriately.
Ensure that safety policies are complied with at all times. Provide a secure means of transport for all passengers and specifically those who are unable to take personal responsibility for their own safety, e.g. check and secure seat belts, clamps etc.
Provide reassurance, encouragement, and a calming environment when passengers are reluctant to travel.
Be aware of the needs of vulnerable passengers and specifically those in wheelchairs.
Maintain a high standard of cleanliness of vehicles.
Complete basic routine clerical tasks, as identified in the Driving Policy.
Read and understand transport information, diaries and routine information on a daily basis.
Report and record information daily basis both verbally and in writing.
Handle medication, money and personal belongings according to Pure Innovations policies and procedures.
General housekeeping of vehicle.
To manage and record own time and to complete Monthly timesheets.
To attend any necessary training for the job role.
To contribute to the smooth running and development of the organisation.
To contribute to the delivery of necessary resources to our venues as and when required.
