Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Escort/Driver to join our team, providing a safe and engaging environment for children to learn and play. The ideal candidate will have passion, enthusiasm and experience working with children, and be a confident driver using larger company vehicles with young passengers. As a Driver/Escort, you will play a crucial role in fostering a safe environment whilst ensuring time management is prioritised.

Responsibilities

Supervise children, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times, during transporting and moving from setting to setting. Ensure the vehicle is safe before each journey and ensuring all daily checks are complete. Support collection routines, ensuring all children are present and safely where they should be. Communicate effectively with children, encouraging their participation and fostering a positive atmosphere. Manage behaviour in a constructive manner, promoting respect and cooperation among children. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the vehicle, ensuring it is safe and welcoming and all required checks are completed timely. Build strong relationships with parents and guardians, providing updates on their children's progress and experiences.

Qualifications

Previous experience working with children is highly desirable. Enhanced DBS check. Full, clean, UK driving license. With 2 years driving experience. Training required in safeguarding and 1st aid- all will be paid for and provided. Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written. A genuine passion for working with children and understanding their developmental needs. Capability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining a calm demeanour in a busy environment.
