The Cambian Group is seeking a reliable, compassionate, and proactive Driver/Handy Person to support one of our Children's Residential Homes. In this varied role, you'll assist with transporting children and staff to and from different locations and provide support with domestic duties when not on the road.

Key Responsibilities
Transport children and staff to various locations safely and punctually using company vehicles.
Carry out domestic tasks around the home (e.g., cleaning, errands, basic maintenance) when driving duties are complete.
Build positive relationships with children, acting as a role model and advocate for their wellbeing.
Maintain cleanliness and security of vehicles; report any damage or defects promptly.
Respond to emergencies on the road with calm and effective action.
Support with general maintenance checks and record-keeping in collaboration with the admin and site maintenance teams.
Adhere to Cambian policies, procedures, and health & safety standards, including COSHH regulations.
Engage positively with staff and residents, contributing to a safe and supportive environment.
What We're Looking For
Aged 21 or over (insurance requirement)
At least 1 year of driving experience with a clean, full UK manual driving licence
Previous experience working with children or in a care setting (preferred)
Confidence in driving a range of vehicles, including cars and minibuses
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Flexible, approachable and dependable with a "can-do" attitude
Comfortable using initiative and problem-solving in dynamic situations
Willingness to complete a two-week induction training (fully funded by Cambian)
