We are seeking a reliable and skilled Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently while ensuring timely deliveries. This role requires excellent driving skills, strong communication abilities, and a commitment to maintaining high safety standards. The ideal candidate will have experience in commercial driving, particularly with flatbed vehicles, as well as a solid understanding of warehouse operations.General Roofing Labouring also required.
Responsibilities
Operate various types of vehicles, including flatbed lorries and vans, to deliver goods to designated locations.
Ensure the safe loading and unloading of cargo, adhering to all safety regulations.
Conduct routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks to ensure optimal performance.
Communicate effectively with warehouse staff and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential issues.
Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage and fuel consumption.
Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while on the road.
Assist in warehouse duties as needed, including inventory management and organisation of goods.
General Roofing Labouring
Requirements
Valid commercial driving licence with appropriate endorsements for flatbed vehicles.
Previous experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role is preferred.
Strong mechanical knowledge to perform basic vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting.
Excellent communication skills to interact with team members and clients effectively.
Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently to meet delivery deadlines.
A good understanding of health and safety regulations related to driving and cargo handling.
