Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and experienced Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering goods efficiently and safely, ensuring timely service to our clients. This role requires a professional with strong driving skills, mechanical knowledge, and excellent communication abilities. The Driver will play a vital part in maintaining the smooth operation of our logistics and delivery services.

Duties

Operate commercial vehicles, including flatbed lorries, in accordance with all road safety regulations and company policies Deliver goods to various locations promptly and securely, ensuring items are handled with care Conduct pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety and compliance Load and unload cargo, utilising warehouse experience and mechanical knowledge as necessary Maintain accurate delivery documentation and communicate effectively with dispatch teams Assist in warehouse activities when not on the road, including organising stock and preparing deliveries Follow all health and safety protocols during driving and loading/unloading procedures

Requirements

Proven experience in driving, particularly as a delivery driver or in a similar role involving commercial driving Valid driver's licence suitable for operating lorry or flatbed vehicles, including driver qualifications if applicable Knowledge of mechanical systems related to commercial vehicles is desirable Experience with warehouse operations and logistics processes Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with clients and team members Ability to handle physical tasks such as loading/unloading cargo safely Familiarity with flatbed transportation is advantageous A clean driving record and commitment to safe driving practices
