Job Description

We are looking for a part time (flexible hours) reliable and skilled Maintenance/Driver to join our team to help ensure that the buildings and facilities at The Marbrook Centre are well maintained and operate smoothly for those that live and work here.

You will play a key role in keeping the home and grounds in excellent condition, ensuring our high standards are maintained - our residents' wellbeing, comfort and safety will be at the heart of everything you do.

The role will involve maintaining the building in terms of routine tasks that can be conducted without the use of contractors, therefore a professional experience of plumbing, electrical, carpentry etc would be an advantage, as would previous experience in professional facilities maintenance environment.

Some of the main duties will include:

To respond efficiently and appropriately to maintenance and repairs issues as they arise

To provide the utmost care, consideration, respect and companionship to our residents whilst transporting them to and from their destinations

To present a positive and engaging attitude towards our staff, residents, their families' and the public in general

In addition part of this role will include providing a driving service (using company vehicles both manual and automatic), taking our residents to and from appointments and on social visits, so you will be polite, compassionate, caring and efficient but above all a considerate, safe driver.

You will be expected to build positive relationships with residents and staff, and you must be able to respond professionally and promptly to issues as they arise.

If you can demonstrate high levels of integrity, are calm, friendly, well organised and can work independently with minimal supervision, then we would love to hear from you.

You may also be required to be on-call for maintenance emergencies at times.
