Duties

Safely operate commercial trucks with manual transmissions, including tractor-trailers, flatbeds, refrigerated trailers, tankers, dump trucks, and roll-off trucks. Load and unload freight efficiently using appropriate equipment such as forklifts when necessary. Execute route driving assignments with precision, adhering to schedules and traffic regulations. Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with company policies. Maintain accurate logs of deliveries, pickups, fuel consumption, and vehicle maintenance records. Load and secure freight properly to prevent damage during transit; ensure compliance with safety standards. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers to confirm delivery times and resolve any issues promptly.

Experience

Proven experience in truck driving or commercial driving roles, preferably with delivery driver experience across diverse freight types. Skilled in operating manual transmission trucks confidently and safely. Familiarity with driving refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, dump trucks, and roll-off trucks is highly desirable. Ability to load & unload freight efficiently using forklifts or other equipment when required. Knowledge of route planning techniques to optimize delivery schedules while maintaining safety standards. Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with endorsements relevant to the equipment operated (e.g., tanker endorsement).
