Job Description
The Best Connection Newcastle are seeking to recruit ad hoc Driver\'s Mates to work with their client in Hebburn. The client is a UK leading distributor responsible for delivering goods around the North East on behalf of a well known retailer. The goods delivered can include furniture, parcel and other bulky items.
The role:
- Loading and unloading products from the vehicle
- Delivering products to the customer and helping with set up and assembly where required
- Assisting the Driver with directions
- Ringing customers to advise of ETA
- This role will involve heavy manual lifting
- Previous Drivers Mate experience would be advantageous
- Must be physically fit and comfortable with heavy repetitive lifting
- Flexible to work weekends as well as weekdays
- Able to get to Hebburn for 6am in the morning
- Ad hoc shifts - once inducted, the company will contact you to offer shifts on an ad hoc basis
- Candidates are expected to be able to work weekends
- Start times will vary (usually between 6am and 7am)
- \xc2\xa311.42 per hour Monday to Friday rate
- \xc2\xa312.42 per hour weekend rate
