We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Driver's Mate to join our team. In this role, you will assist the driver in delivering goods to various locations, ensuring that all deliveries are completed efficiently and safely. The ideal candidate will have a strong focus on customer service and possess the ability to handle heavy lifting and moving tasks. This position requires teamwork, attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of service.

Responsibilities

Assist the driver with loading and unloading of goods from the vehicle. Ensure that all deliveries are made on time and in accordance with company policies. Provide excellent customer service during interactions with clients at delivery sites. Help in navigating routes effectively to optimize delivery schedules. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the vehicle and equipment used for deliveries. Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks as needed. Support with inventory management tasks within the warehouse environment. Adhere to safety protocols while driving and handling goods.

Requirements

Previous experience in customer service is highly desirable. Warehouse experience is a plus, particularly in loading and unloading freight. Familiarity with commercial driving regulations and practices is preferred. Experience driving box trucks or similar vehicles is advantageous. Prior delivery driver experience is beneficial for understanding logistics operations. Ability to perform heavy lifting and moving tasks safely. Knowledge of operating forklifts and pallet jacks is preferred but not mandatory; training may be provided. Comfortable driving manual transmission vehicles as required by the job duties. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for accurate delivery documentation.
