Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Driver's Mate to join our team. In this role, you will assist the driver in the safe and efficient delivery of goods while ensuring exceptional customer service. The ideal candidate will have experience in warehouse operations and a strong commitment to teamwork. You will be responsible for loading and unloading items, which may involve heavy lifting. Assisting the driver in navigating delivery routes, interacting and calling customers with confirmations of the delivery and updates.

Responsibilities

Assist the driver with loading and unloading of goods from the vehicle. Ensure all deliveries are made in a timely manner while adhering to safety regulations. Provide excellent customer service during deliveries, addressing any inquiries or concerns. Help with route planning and navigation to optimize delivery efficiency. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the delivery vehicle. Support the driver in completing necessary paperwork for deliveries.

Experience

Previous experience in customer service is essential. Warehouse experience is highly desirable, particularly with heavy lifting and moving items.
This position is subject to a successful DBS check and you will require a valid passport in order to pass security and onboarding.

Job Types: Full-time, Zero hours contract

Pay: From 12.21 per hour
