Your Role:
The role includes line management of drivers, ensuring effective scheduling, workload distribution, and transport-related documentation.
The role is pivotal in delivering a reliable and efficient service to the customer through strong leadership, strategic planning, and optimal deployment of resources.
A key responsibility of the role is maintaining compliance with 'Operator' licence regulations by upholding robust systems and processes.
You will oversee the daily transport administration and driver allocation for all aspects of the ADSL-driven service at Larkhill Garrison.
You will ensure full compliance with Health, Safety and Environmental legislation in accordance with ADSL company policies, procedures, and safety initiatives. This includes timely investigation and reporting of all accidents, incidents, near miss and dangerous occurrences, whilst embracing and promoting our Courage to Care 24/7 culture.
You will deliver a high quality and reliable service to the customer, in accordance with the contractual Statement of Requirement and Key Performance Indicators (KIPs).
What We're Looking For:
Qualifications:
A good working knowledge of IT packages, including Microsoft Office and Web based applications is essential, as is customer service experience and dealing with problem resolution. A strong understanding of Drivers Hours Regulations and the Working Time Directive is also key for this role.
Experience:
Experience within the transport industry in a supervisory capacity and proven leadership experience are vital. The role also requires the ability to build teams, involve people, motivate, recognise, and reward achievement. It's also essential to have experience with continuous Improvement and knowledge of planning and organising tasks.
Skills:
A proven track record in a customer facing operation and the ability to demonstrate a good customer service ethos are desirable skills in this role. As is showing an interest in business issues and activities, both internally and externally, and identifying customer needs.
Driving Licence: Full UK valid driving licence required.*
