Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Driver/Warehouse Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our warehouse by performing various tasks related to inventory management, order fulfilment, and logistics. The successful candidate will also be required to deliver and collect goods locally and nationwide (within a reasonable distance of our base) using a Company vehicle. This position requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently.

Full driving licence essential, must be 25 years old + for insurance purposes, fork lift truck licence preferred but not essential. 21 hours over three days, one of which must be Tuesday. Ideally would be available to cover occasional holidays and busy periods.

Responsibilities

Assist with the loading and unloading of goods from lorries. Organise and maintain inventory within the warehouse, ensuring accurate stock levels. A degree of over checking, quality control and finishing of small components is required. Operate warehouse equipment safely, including forklift and pallet jack. Prepare orders for dispatch, ensuring all items are correctly picked, packed and labelled. Conduct regular stock checks and report discrepancies to management. Maintain a clean and organised work area to promote safety and efficiency. Communicate effectively with team members and management regarding inventory status and operational needs. Support delivery drivers as needed, including assisting with flatbed deliveries when required.

Experience

Previous warehouse experience is preferred but not essential for the right candidate. Experience as a delivery driver or commercial driving is advantageous. Mechanical knowledge is beneficial for operating equipment effectively. Strong communication skills are essential for collaborating with team members and ensuring smooth operations.
